The Women’s Singles Championship were down to three players with a rather tense semi final between Mary O’Keeffe and Niki Nikolova. A game of fluctuating fortunes where Niki gained the initiative at the later stage of the game, to be overtaken by Mary on the last end to win the match 21-20. This left Mary with two lives to play Marion Vague, with a single life. Mary raced out to a commanding lead early with some excellent draw bowling which she maintained to the end of the game winning 21-2.
The Women’s 1-8 Year Championship Pairs had four teams and the competition was run as a ‘Round Robin’. Mary O’Keeffe (S) and Joanne Williamson came through winners with Pauline Mitchell (S) and Jocelyn Lawrence runners-up
